Hi,
ReplyDeleteThis banknote was issued to commemorate 100th anniversary of the establishment of the armed forces (вооружённые силы in Russian) not militsya (милиция) as you described. Almost all commemorative banknotes issued by Transnistria bank was issued on the occasion associated with the Soviet Union. The Red Army was established in 1918, Feb 23 (first battles of Pskov and Narva) - today this day is the national holiday in Russia celebrated as Defender of the Fatherland Day.
The banknote commemorate also 27th anniversary of establishment of Transnistria armed forces. The badge (star) on the banknote is the Order "For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" that was created on October 28, 1974. The 1st class order was given only 13 times, which makes him the least-awarded Soviet decoration.
Thanks KASG1967 for your input. Much appreciated.
