Note celebrating the Peoples' Republic of China 1949-1999. The Peoples' Republic of China was established on 1.10.1949 following a long and bitter civil war which the Chinese Communist Party defeated the Nationalist Government let by Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek and forced them to retreat to Taiwan since then. 60 million notes issued.
